I saw LOTR the Two Towers today with my daughter Alex. Man, what a movie! Awesome. John Doerr has written an interesting piece in the latest Red Herring, arguing strongly against requiring companies to expense stock options. During the past couple of years, as the momentum for expensing options has gathered, I've found myself ambivalent. One part of me thinks expensing options is "the right thing to do", another part thinks it would stifle innovation and entrepreneurship. John is a VC legend, and he makes a strong case. |
